Department of Physics

History

The Department of Physics, which includes a well-equipped Physics Laboratory, was established in 1999-2000 to focus on awakening young minds and discovering their skills in both theoretical and practical physics. Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirapalli, gave the department affiliation to begin the B.Sc. Physics programme in the year 2002-2003. The Department received permanent affiliation status from Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli in the year 2019-2020.

The Department offers motivated and skilled personnel with experience in a variety of Physics topics. We provide intensive preparation for citizens whose job pathways necessitate physics knowledge. We are committed to maintaining a high level of expertise, research quality, and professional conduct. We're dedicated to demonstrating science as a human activity and a means of comprehending the natural world. The Department faculty members are expertise in the field of Crystal Growth, Crystallography, Spectroscopy and Materials Science.
